This retreat is intended for those who would like to have the opportunity to improve their health and vitality using the traditional healing methods found in the Amazon. We will be following a special diet, and using a variety of plant medicines commonly used in the Amazon to detoxify the body, to enhance the immune system function, and purify the blood.

The Dieta
The dieta consists of having a restricted diet during the 9 days. During this dieta, we will be abstaining from alcohol, pork, red meat, salt, refined sugar, fats, saturated oils, and hot spices during the retreat. The dieta itself will mainly consist of grilled or boiled fish, a variety of vegetables and fruit, teas, and of course the plant medicines. The intent of this diet is to purify the body with a limited diet, and to help detoxify the body and enhance and stimulate the natural immune system. The Dieta is very effective for any proper, natural healing of diseases. Maintaining a relaxed state physically, emotionally and spiritually, connecting with nature, eating light food along with the medicinal plant medicines all serve to create the optimal conditions for returning a natural equilibrium to the body, mind and spirit. This plant medicine retreat works on many levels to help improve the nervous, articular, circulatory and immune systems, and to strengthen one’s health in general, physically and spiritually.The Retreat
This retreat will be facilitated by myself, along with loving and caring staff, that are there to assist in your healing. A professional massage therapist will be available at an additional cost to help provide further healing, relaxation and comfort if desired. The retreat will be held in the pristine environment of the Rocky Mountains where we will enjoy being in a camping type setting. During our time in the Rocky Mountains, participants will be offered a mud/clay bath to help draw out toxins from the body using a special mud mixture from Peru. We will also experience sacred flower baths, an integral part of the shamanic cleansing experience before the ayahuasca ceremonies. The combination of the fragrant essences of various flowers brings blessings of love and cleansing and refreshes the body and spirit in preparation for the ceremony that evening. Following the ceremony the next day, we will gather in a group conversation, share our visions, dreams and impressions from the previous evening. This provides an opportunity to gain further insight in the workings of the medicine and in ourselves by sharing the experiences with others. Individual shamanic counselling sessions will also be offered at any time during the retreat to reinforce the participants healing to begin living life in beauty, balance and power. It is my hope that this retreat will result in the participants return home with improved health and continued healing, with a greater satisfaction and an increased sense of accomplishment.*There is an option to extend the retreat for a longer period of dieting for those who would like to yield additional benefits. Medical and health Precautions
Many medications and supplements, including but not limited to MAO inhibiting medications, SSRIs, and/or anti-depressants (including St John's Wort), and other medications do not mix well with ayahuasca and pose a serious health risk if taking in conjunction with ayahuasca. Guests should not take any sort of medications, vitamins, or supplements during the retreat. Please let us know if you are on any medications, have any serious health problems, infectious or contagious disease. Medical conditions requiring daily medication must be cleared in advance by plant spirit shamanism.
